HEC Bann BA/BSC and MA/MSc Degree | HEC New Policy 2019 about 2-Year Program:


Two years of bachelor degree holders Pakistani students.
As per HEC rules Students having BA/BSC (14 years qualification) are eligible to get admission in BS 5th semester of the relevant subject to complete 15 to 18 credit hours. Especially old graduate of Medical Lab technology who has 2 years degree will request to complete their credits hours. Otherwise, 4 years degree holder will challenge their seniority and as will qualification.

Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced on Friday that the old two-year BA / BSC degree (equivalent to the education of 14 years) and MA / MSc education year 2018 and 2020, to degrees Pakistan, will not be offered by universities.

Pakistan students faced problems around the world due to two-year BA and MA degree programs, as it was not internationally recognized, resulting in an HEC two-year BA in 2016 / BSC degree and MA / MSc degree decided to end.


The Higher Education Commission banned the BBS degree program across the country and has banned all the universities across the country that they will no longer stop the Second BA/BSc program. 

However, after completing the course with two years of BA / BSC degree completed courses covered by HEC and relevant university, the third year of the four-year BS Program - Entry into the fifth semester. Will be allowed.

According to the press releases issued by the HEC, the two-year BA / BSC's locations are now in place for the 12-year-old schoolgirl students who are interested in the job market through approved campuses or colleges. Associate degrees can be held in the subject articles.


 Details of Associate Degree are available on the HEC website. After completing additional entrance accessories, students with an associate degree will be eligible to come back to the educational system after entering into the fifth semester of the BS program.

On the other hand, Additional Secretary, Punjab Higher Education Department Tariq Hameed Bhatti said that the HEC did not consult the BSc-2-year-old degree program. Regarding the decision of the HEC, the developments are being developed. Any move will take place after consultation. 

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Punjab banned the BSc degree program without consulting the Higher Education Department. Provincial Higher Education Department says that after consultation, the answer will be answered.

  5. I've recently taken my exams of BA part 2 and Part 1 combined. I sent my admission in year 2018 for both parts for which the exams were conducted in the recent year. Kindly let me know whether my BA degree would be recognized in this case by HEC and would I be able to get admission in either BS 4 years or Masters 2 year program. Remember that it's regarding the current batch who just recently attempted the exams of part 1 and part 2.

  6. the worst department in education is hec with no vision they only pass the policies in their air condition rooms without knowing the impact of their decision i think prime minister should dissolve the hec and make a new organization instead of this so called hec.
